SSC FAREWELL – 2023

The premises of Don Bosco High School echoed with blessings on 16th January 2023, as the management, staff and students came together to bid farewell to the outgoing students of Std X.

Elegantly dressed, the girls of Std X showed up in their colourful sarees and the boys like thorough gentlemen in their suits. They were greeted at the entrance by the students of Class IX. The school hall was all set with chairs that were well arranged and a beautiful backdrop that read, Adieu – God Bless and Guide You”

The day began with a prayer service followed by the outgoing student’s credo. A skit and captivating dance dedicated to their seniors was put up by the students of Class IX. The Rector, Fr. Dominic Martis delivered an intuitive speech advising the students to use their potential and achieve their goals by exercising will power, efforts and by being honest. He then prayed over them and blessed them.

The Principal Fr. Anthony Fonseca, addressed the students thanking them for their support and cooperation and briefed them about various necessities, do’s and don’ts of the Board Exam. He advised them saying, “Whatever you have learnt from this institution will take you to limitless opportunities. Leave all your negative experiences behind and carry with you only the pleasant memories that you have had here.”

The school head boy, Daksh Jain expressed his gratitude in a prayerful manner and thanked the management and staff. Debasmita Maity, from class X A then expressed her gratitude through a very touching speech. A token of appreciation on behalf of the outgoing students was then presented to the school. Souvenirs and snacks were then distributed to the students. The day was indeed a fiesta devoted to the years spent together with friends and teachers to reminisce joyous moments.
