The District Level Subroto Football Tournament 2023-24, organised by Vasai – Virar Municipal Corporation, by District Sports Office Palghar, was a memorable one for Don Bosco’s Naigaon.
The girl’s football team of Don Bosco High School Naigaon once again proved that there is no dearth of talent at Don Bosco’s Naigaon, when it comes to sports. They spared no opportunity in giving their best and played with a winning spirit from the first match itself. The first match was played against Isaac Newton School where they won with a score of 2-0. The second match was played against Shrimati Tarabai Vartak Memorial Academy with a score of 2-0 again. The third match was played against Ryan International School and was won with a penalty 3-1. The finals
were played against Rustomjee Cambridge International School, where they won the trophy with a score of 1-0.
It was heartening to see the young team rejoice and celebrate their victory on bagging the prestigious trophy.
