Nothing motivates you like music – whether it’s a track that envelops you in its beauty or one with a heartbreaking melody or lyrics. A song about one’s own nation does so much more! You are motivated and your sense of patriotism is sparked.

The students of Don Bosco High School and Jr. College, Naigaon, participated in the Inter-House, Patriotic Song and Dance Competition and performed with a dazzling exhibition of talent, ability and devotion in order to communicate their intense love for their motherland through the language of music and dance. They were around 320 students from various classes who participated in the event which was held in the school hall on 5th August, 2023.

The program commenced with an introductory song and dance that evoked a strong sense of patriotism in the audience. Each house had a unique presentation with their charming expressions, unstoppable dance moves and scenes that enacted the bravery of the great freedom fighters, soldiers and the current need for peace and justice in the country. Colourful charts and placards sent forth strong messages of love, peace and unity.

The Rector, Fr. Dominic Martis, congratulated the participants and stressed upon the need to foster peace through kindness, compassion and respect for each other.

The Principal, Fr. Anthony Fonseca, complimented the students and staff for the hard work and efforts put in by them. He urged students to stay away from indiscipline and wrong actions so as to inculcate and foster good values that would make them honest citizens of the country.

The program ended with a vote of thanks to all the students who participated and the staff who were instrumental in training the students.
