Diwali, the ‘festival of lights’ was celebrated at Don Bosco High School and Jr. College, Naigaon, on 19th  October 2022, by the students of the School and College section respectively. The day was marked with a special assembly by each section of the school. Decorated with lights, lanterns and rangolis of vibrant hues, the school had an ambience of joy, togetherness and hope.  The assemblies emphasized on the message of ‘Peace’ and ‘Pollution Free Diwali’. The students showcased the spirit of Diwali through speech, drama, live band and scintillating dance performances, which added exuberance and brought joy to the audience.

The Rector, Rev. Fr. Dominic Martis, amplified the message of ‘Peace’ and urged the students to be more responsible and committed towards taking care of the environment. He concluded his message saying, “We live in a civilized society, and it is our duty and responsibility to maintain peace and harmony and care for our environment.”

Festive Competitions, like Rangoli and Lantern Making were organized and students delightfully participated . Each class had a get together planned by the class teachers. Music and games were conducted in the classroom and students shared their snacks and soft drinks with each other thus adding to the joy. Gifts were then distributed to the students.

The students had a fulfilled day of activities.
