Don Bosco High School and Jr. College, Naigaon, celebrated Christmas on 21st December, 2023, with a vibrant and joyful spirit that filled the air with pleasure and merriment. Together, the management, staff, teachers, and students created special moments that promoted harmony and goodwill. The school was decked out in brilliant decorations that turned it into a winter wonderland. The celebrations were put in motion by the festive atmosphere that was produced through colorful lights, sparkling decorations, and festive banners.

To showcase the diverse talents of the school community, various cultural performances took center stage. The program commenced with a prayer service and prayer dance at various sessions during the day. Students of each section presented traditional Christmas carols, elegant dances, and wonderful tableaus that vividly illustrated the meaning of the nativity adding to the festive atmosphere.

In his heartfelt address, our rector, Rev. Fr. Dominic Martis, poignantly underscored the significance of Christmas as a time to be considerate and a time to be generous and share happiness with others. He said, “Christmas is not only the time for the arrival and waiting of Santa Clause but it’s also a time for sharing and caring for one another whole heartedly.”

The Secondary Section kids gathered on the ground for some spectacular experiences during the first session of the day, excitedly awaiting the magical moment when Santa arrived in a vehicle, escorted by his guards on their motorbikes. He distributed gifts to each class that welcomed him with song and dance. The tiny tots from the Primary Section relished every second of their captivating show and were thrilled by a special visit from Santa Claus. The Star and Crib Competition in each section encouraged teamwork and creativity among the students.

Fr. Anthony Fonseca, the principal, praised the staff for their commitment to the students’ education and complimented the pupils on their fantastic performances.

There were three lucky draws in the raffle that the school had set up. Pupils anticipated the raffle winners’ announcement with eagerness. After then, the raffle’s earnings were distributed to support a worthy cause.

Everyone who was a part of the Don Bosco School’s Christmas party will never forget it as a huge success. Festive décor, ethnic shows, Santa’s visit, and volunteer work all came together to create a happy, welcoming environment that captured the real spirit of Christmas. Along with uniting the school community, the occasion also fostered a spirit of generosity and compassion that will last well into the holiday season and beyond.
