In keeping with the meaning of Deepawali (the festival of lights), our school looked resplendent with decorative lanterns made by the children themselves during their Craft periods. Children came to school all excited and wearing their best. Various of competitions took place simultaneously – mehndi, rangoli, extempore speech, singing, dance etc. Later there was a short prayer service and a cultural programme which was thoroughly enjoyed by all. Snacks were distributed and school closed early.
