LIFE – LIKE RANGOLI OF OUR PATRON SAINT WHO ALWAYS ADVOCATED PEACE

Don Bosco High School and Junior College, Naigaon has been transformed into a visual, hands-on, learning hub.
The atmosphere is one of amazement, pride and belonging. Every vacant space is witness to the art/innovative work of the students and teachers.
They youngest ones in the institution are not to be left behind. Dressed in colourful costumes of birds and animals they presented their art work with a message.
“Be a wise man, ocean is not a garbage can”, said little Aadya Sonar of Junior KG while presenting her art work on save the ocean.
The chemistry laboratory has live demonstrations on how science is applied to day-to-day life, whilst the biology laboratory gives one insight into the human skeletal system, preserved specimens and observation under microscopes.

“Students have confidently presented application-based experiments dealing with drinks and juices, thereby explaining some of the mysteries of chemistry,” said Tr. Shubhangi Jadhav, Chemistry teacher of the College section.

Breath-taking rangolis are another of the star attractions aside the creative art and craft work done by the students.
Guests spent a long time watching the students presenting their science, robotics and innovative projects. There were so many novel ideas.

Many students presented their projects on ‘hydroponics’ – a new method of growing plants without soil. A specimen of a mangrove plant is also exhibited.

“The demand for hydroponics-grown products is increasing rapidly,’ said Mrs. Namrata Fernandes – hydroponics in-charge.

Another great attraction are the food stalls manned by the students and teachers. Healthy options are provided at a minimal cost. Teachers surely outdid themselves and their culinary skills were appreciated by all.
The games stalls provide continuous entertainment.
The campus is vibrant. Each guest, be it a parent, teacher, guest or ex-student showed amazement at the magnitude of the event.
