The 75th Republic Day of India was celebrated at Don Bosco High School & Jr. College, Naigaon amidst fervent displays of national pride and enthusiasm.
The students escorted the chief guest, rector, Rev. Fr. Dominic Martis, along with the principal, Rev. Fr. Anthony Fonseca, and the vice principal, Rev. Fr. Joaquim Fernandes, onto the school ground.
The chief guest unfurled the Indian tricolour with deep respect, as everyone saluted the flag, sang the National Anthem in harmony, and affirmed the pledge.
A cultural program unfolded, featuring a diverse array of patriotic songs, captivating dances, and inspiring speeches delivered by students from the Primary, Secondary and College Sections.
Fr. Martis then addressed the gathering, congratulating the participants. He emphasized the importance of being responsible citizens in order to fully cherish the democracy and freedom fought for by our freedom fighters.
In his address, the Principal, Rev. Fr. Anthony Fonseca congratulated the participants for their presentation and acknowledged the work of the staff in charge. The program concluded with the vote of thanks.
