MR. ANTUVAN DECLARES THE EXHIBITION OPEN

Inaugural Ceremony of ‘Be Peacemakers’ exhibition 2022 The Inaugural ceremony of ‘Be Peacemakers’ 2022, began at 9:30 am sharp in the School Hall of Don Bosco High School and Junior College, Naigaon, East. At the onset, Rev. Father Dominic Martis (Rector) welcomed the Chief Guest, other distinguished guests, members of the management, staff, students and parents. He congratulated the Vice Principal, Rev. Fr. Joaquim Fernandes, on initiating the idea of Peacemakers and for encouraging the one-idea-one-child slogan for this exhibition. He also extended his gratitude towards the staff, parents, students and all other collaborators who worked incessantly to make this dream a reality.

The tiny tots of the pre-primary section wowed the audience by their Welcome Dance.

After this the dignitaries proceeded to usher brilliance into the proceedings by lighting the traditional lamp.

Tr. Supriya (Exhibition Coordinator) read out the concept note which further stated the modus operandi of the exhibition and the paramount importance being given to peaceful interactions while fostering learning by doing.

A Prayer dance by the students of the secondary section followed.

The Peace Prayer, Peace Pledge and choral rendition of ‘Make me a Channel of your Peace’ blended beautifully with the theme of the exhibition.

The skit presented by the college section ‘heal the world’ had a deep-rooted message of harmony and good will amongst the diverse people of our country.

Mr. Antuvan addressed the gathering, expressed his gratitude towards the institution for inviting him to be part of the exhibition. He also spoke about how his mind remained ignited towards his work with rocketry for as many as 38 years. He added that success and failure are part of life. He gave the audience invaluable information about space and the use of satellites for peaceful/civilian purposes. He summed up by saying that ‘peacemakers’ are the need of the hour in today’s fashionable and commercial world.

The dignitaries then proceeded towards the Inaugural site where Mr. Antuvan cut the ribbon and declared the exhibition open.
