The academic year, 2025-2026, commenced with a Management Conference held for the staff on 16th June, 2025. The session began with a short prayer, reading the minutes of the previous meeting and then an address by the Rector, Fr. Dominic Martis, who warmly congratulated the teachers for the commendable HSC and SSC results.

Fr. Dominic Martis, the Rector, shared his experience of interacting with the newly appointed teachers, emphasizing that Don Bosco’s system of education is deeply child-centered, where educators are called to accompany and guide students at every stage of their growth. He reminded the staff that each one is here with a purpose and mission, and encouraged the new members to form their own unique experiences, rather than be influenced by others’ opinions or pressures.

He highlighted the importance of establishing a functional grievance cell, underlining its role in ensuring a supportive and responsive environment. Fr. Martis reflected on the words of the  Rector Major, Fr. Fabio Attard, who emphasized the essential Salesian call to love and accompany the young with dedication and compassion thereby, stressing the need for a strong sense of Salesian identity. He congratulated Mrs. Dorothy Fernandes, Supervisor, for successfully completing the Lay Salesian Partnership course. Emphasizing the importance of an animating presence, he encouraged the teachers to approach their vocation with love, compassion, and a greater sensitivity towards one another’s needs.

The Administrator, Fr William Falcao, spoke on Don Bosco’s Preventive System of Education, highlighting the foundational pillar of Reason. He stressed that among the three pillars—Reason, Religion, and Loving Kindness—Reason holds prime significance, as it forms the basis through which true religion and love are understood and lived.

The Principal, Fr Anthony Fonseca, took the opportunity to introduce the new staff members and congratulated those teachers who had voluntarily completed professional training courses during the vacation. He called upon teachers to be diligent and efficient in fulfilling their responsibilities and provided valuable guidance on the integration of technology in teaching to improve learning outcomes.

The conference concluded with a renewed sense of purpose and commitment as the staff geared up to embrace the new academic year with enthusiasm and dedication.
