The first conference of the staff with the Management, for the academic year 2023-24, was held on 13th June, 2023 in the school A.V Hall. The Rector, Fr. Dominic Martis, addressed the staff saying, “The beginning of a new year is an excellent time to reflect on where we have been and where we are going.” He congratulated the staff for the good HSC and SSC results. He reiterated the points made in his earlier speech, wherein he laid strong emphasis on the need to care for the needy in our school and neighbourhood. He enlightened the staff about the new program, ‘Don Bosco Avsar’ that would be undertaken to provide an opportunity for school drop-outs to help them receive a basic education that would enable them to sustain themselves.

The Principal, Fr. Anthony Fonseca, welcomed the staff and congratulated them for the good results. He introduced the new staff members and expressed his desire for each one to take on the new academic year with renewed enthusiasm and vigour. He further went on to explain that the training sessions conducted for the pre-primary and primary section and the in-service training sessions attended by senior teachers of the secondary and college section, were all meant to build a stronger foundation for the institution at large. He said, “All of our excellent academic work relies on our responsibilities and resources provided to us.” He then asked the senior supervisor, Mrs. Dorothy Fernandes to present the framework of responsibilities that the teachers would be entrusted with for the smooth functioning of the school.

The Vice-Principal, Fr. Joaquim Fernandes then addressed the staff and expressed the need for each staff member to be aware of and remain abreast with the latest guidelines on Information Technology and POCSO Act. He shared the necessary documents with the staff members.

The Administrator, Fr. Edward Dsouza, then took over and provided an insight into the program formulated for the pre-primary section.

The meeting concluded invoking God’s blessings on the institution for a vibrant, healthy and productive academic year head.
