To help parents navigate their parenting journey, the Prafulta Centre of Psychological Wellness held sessions at school, aiming at equipping parents with tools and strategies to promote their children’s emotional well-being.
The session, led by experienced psychologists and Career Counsellors. Mrs. Asha Dhandhaliya, Mrs. Ratandeep and Mrs. Olivia Almeida, focused on key topics such as:
Understanding Child Development: Insights into the different stages of development and how parents can support their children at each phase.
Effective Communication: Techniques for fostering open dialogue between parents and children, enhancing trust and understanding.
Emotional Intelligence: Tools for helping children recognize and manage their emotions, promoting resilience and empathy.
Stress Management: Strategies for parents to manage their own stress and support their children in coping with challenges.
Participants engaged in interactive discussions that encouraged sharing experiences and learning from one another. The session fostered a supportive community where parents could connect and learn together. Parents expressed appreciation for the practical advice and resources shared during the session. Many felt empowered to implement new strategies at home, noting an increased sense of confidence in their parenting skills.
