CHRISTMAS CELEBRATION, 2022

The school and college celebrated Christmas, ushering in the message of love, hope, good-will and cheer for all. The programme for each section commenced with a commentary about the background of Christmas and the traditions followed across the globe. This was followed by a short prayer service, with intercessory prayers made to baby Jesus. The Rector, Rev. Fr. Dominic Martis addressed the students saying, “Christmas is indeed all about giving, sharing and caring for one another.” A skit on ‘Sharing and Selflessness’ wherein, children beautifully enacted the true essence of Christmas, sent forth the message that the festival of Christmas is about caring for, and loving one another.

The Principal, Rev. Fr. Anthony Fonseca, gave an inspiring talk to the students thanking them for their hard work and enthusiasm. He said, “God humbled himself and came down to earth as man. Therefore, the true spirit of Christmas is in humility where we all need to be humble.” Students charmed one and all with their beautifully sung carols. The live band added to the excitement. The entry of Santa Claus took everyone by surprise and was the highlight of the celebration. The school looked gorgeous with balloons, stars, bells, tinsel, the crib and a gigantic Christmas tree. The children in their bright and elaborate costumes were a delight to watch.
