On August 12, 2024, at 4:30 PM, the Don Bosco Junior College hall was alive with excitement as Class XII students from the Science and Commerce sections competed in an Interclass Patriotic Song and Dance Competition. The event celebrated the students’ talents and their love for the nation, with both classes delivering remarkable performances that highlighted themes such as women empowerment, the sacrifice of an Indian soldier’s love for the country, the Pulwama attack, and surgical strike, among others.

The competition was judged by Tr. Melrina Dsilva and Tr. Resal Pereira, who evaluated the performances based on creativity, coordination, and how well they captured the essence of patriotism. Class XII Science emerged victorious in the Patriotic Song Competition, impressing everyone with their melodious and heartfelt singing. On the other hand, Class XII Commerce claimed the top spot in the Patriotic Dance Competition, winning the judges’ favor with their vibrant performance.

Fr. Principal, who graced the occasion with his presence, lavished praise on the participants for their remarkable efforts. He specifically commended the thoughtful selection of songs and noted that, unlike previous events, the college section deserved praise for their wonderful effort, which shone through in their performances.

The competition was a celebration of talent, unity, and national pride, underscoring the students’ devotion to their country.
