An Inter-House Debate titled, ‘M.U.N’ was organised on 11th October, 2023 for the students of STD IX and X. The theme of the debate was – ‘Refugee crisis around the world’. There were eight contestants overall, all from grades X and IX. It was a rare debate in which the participants were delegates or representatives of different nations rather than two teams. The audience was informed about the rules and regulations of the debate and a video was shown to give an idea of the topic of the debate. The delegates were judged on their content, presentation and overall effectiveness. Throughout the conference, students explored the challenges faced by refugees and strived to find resolutions that benefit the global community.
The Chief Guest for the day, Mr. Jayesh Mhatre, the principal of Shanti Govind High School expressed his heartfelt gratitude to all the participants and emphasized the journey of transforming the event from an idea into a remarkable reality.
