Girls continue to suffer unheard-of obstacles to their education, to their physical and mental health, and to the safeguards required for a life free from abuse.
In order to spread an awareness on issues that matter to girlsa session was conducted for the girls at Don Bosco’s Naigaon, on the occasion of ‘Girl Child Day’.
The girls were shown a series of succinct, motivational videos and PowerPoint presentations with strong themes. When speaking to the girls, the co-ordinating supervisor, Dorothy Fernandes, emphasised the value of education for girls. She underlined the importance of every girl child maintaining their concentration, being determined, having great dreams, being empowered, and taking action.
After the session, the girls concerns and willingness to remain focused on their goals were revealed in a brief conversation. The session thus concluded on a happy note.
