On September 5, 2023, in honour of Teacher’s Day and what is unquestionably one of the most significant professions on earth, the administration and students of Don Bosco High School and Jr. College Naigaon, showed their appreciation for their teachers.
The students greeted their class teachers with roses and hand-made cards. The management and staff then assembled in the school hall at 10.00am for a short celebration. The day was made special for the teachers through a cultural programme that included a prayer service, welcome address, and energetic dance performances by the students.
During his address to the teachers, the rector, Fr. Dominic Martis, remarked, “Students can learn from a book or gain information from the internet, but it’s the teacher who brings the curriculum to life and makes it relevant for every child in their care.” He thanked and appreciated the teachers for their dedication and hard work.
On behalf of the staff, teacher Annie Derin form the Secondary Section proposed the vote of thanks and the programme culminated on a very happy note.
