‘Be Peacemakers’ …. A new beginning at DBHS, Naigaon
Day 2
Day 2 of the ‘Be Peacemakers’ exhibition at Don Bosco High School and Junior College, Naigaon, witnessed a constant stream of visitors and dignitaries, from within and outside the neighbourhood.
Students and teachers were back to their positions with renewed enthusiasm – the staff attired in identical t-shirts in solidarity with the noble cause of being peacemakers.
Once again, the institution was abuzz with many activities taking place simultaneously. Visitors were amazed at the confidence with which students presented their projects and live experiments.
“I am very happy about the successful execution of the concept ideated by Vice Principal, Fr. Joaquim Fernandes. I congratulate the students, and staff for the team effort and sense of belongingness”, said Rev. Fr. Dominic Martis, Exhibition Director.
The Art for Peace, hall displayed remarkable work by students under the tutelage of Mr. C. D. Jain a well-known artist. In addition, many of his world-class paintings adorned the walls.
“In my first ever art workshop in Maharashtra conducted at DBHS, Naigaon, I am glad that most 8th and 9th class students produced incredible and meaningful artworks which was beyond my expectations,” said Mr. CD Jain who is also a Child Educationist.
“The exhibition was well-coordinated and executed. I was so overwhelmed to see the children beautifully explain to us with great confidence. A thank you to all teachers who have patience, dedication, and confidence in the students to have them perform so well!” said Mrs. Thelma Coelho, parent.
“The hospitality shown right from the reception and right through was good. The synergy between the teachers, students and management is very apparent. The theme is very relevant especially with the coming of Advent and the global scenario,” said Mr. Nicholas Correa.
The exhibition was well attended by people from the neighbourhood and others.
Once again we are grateful to the parents for their collaborative effort and thank the Almighty for guiding and helping us through this mega event
