Prayer Service Marks a Grace-Filled Beginning to the Academic Year 2026
The College Section of Don Bosco High School & Junior College, Naigaon, commenced the new academic year with a solemn Prayer Service on 24th June 2026 at 10:30 a.m. based on the theme "In His Light, We Begin," beautifully animated by the students of Class XII. The programme invited the Don Bosco family to entrust the year ahead to God's loving guidance and seek His light in every step of life.
The gathering began with a warm welcome and an introduction to the theme, reminding everyone that every new beginning becomes meaningful when guided by God's light. Students were encouraged to trust in Him and strive for excellence with faith, humility, and wisdom.
The Prayer of the Faithful united the assembly in seeking God's blessings upon the Institution, Management, Teachers, Students, Parents, and all those in need. Special prayers were offered for peace, strength, and guidance, followed by a moment of silent reflection.
A motivational video featuring the inspiring words of Mother Teresa deeply touched the gathering. The reflection encouraged students to trust in God's plan and become beacons of hope through kindness, compassion, and selfless service.
The gathering was further enriched by the inspiring address of Vice Principal Rev. Fr. Joaquim Fernandes, who encouraged students to let God's light guide their decisions, remain steadfast during challenges, and pursue excellence with faith, humility, and perseverance.
The programme concluded with a heartfelt Vote of Thanks, expressing gratitude to everyone who contributed to the meaningful celebration. The Prayer Service left the gathering with the message that beginning every endeavour in God's light leads to a life filled with wisdom, faith, hope, and purpose.
