The G.K. Quiz Competition Finals held on 9th March 2026 in the School Hall of Don Bosco High School & Junior College, Naigaon East, proved to be an exciting and intellectually stimulating event. The competition was conducted in two sessions, with students from both the Primary and Secondary Sections actively participating. The competition had been conducted in three stages—Quarter Finals, Semi Finals, and Finals—with enthusiastic participation from students. After the earlier rounds, the most deserving teams qualified to compete in the grand finale.
The programme began with a warm welcome to the dignitaries, teachers, parents, participants, and students, followed by a short and engaging video presentation that created curiosity and excitement among the audience. The questions covered a wide range of topics including literature, history, geography, science, politics, world affairs, sports, and current events, making the competition both challenging and informative. Each round tested the participants’ general knowledge, observation skills, teamwork, and quick thinking, and the teams participated with great enthusiasm making the competition lively and enjoyable for the audience.
Addressing the gathering, Rev. Fr. Dominic Martis, the Rector, shared inspiring words that encouraged the students to participate with confidence and in the true spirit of learning. Soon after, the finalist teams were introduced, and the much-awaited quiz competition commenced. The finals consisted of four engaging rounds: Flashback Round, Mystery Box Challenge, Visual Voyage Round, and Rapid-Fire Round.
Following the rounds, Rev. Fr. Anthony Fonseca, the Principal, addressed the gathering and motivated the students with his encouraging words.
The results were announced and the winners were applauded for their outstanding performance. The programme concluded with a vote of thanks truly reflecting the Salesian educational spirit of Don Bosco, which encourages young minds to grow in knowledge, confidence, and collaboration. The G.K. Quiz Competition was indeed an informative and successful event that fostered awareness, confidence, and a love for learning among students.
