CANONICAL PROVINCIAL VISIT

Rev. Fr. Ashley Miranda, Provincial, of the Mumbai Province, visited Don Bosco Naigaon, On 18th February 2026, on the occasion of his Canonical Provincial Visit.

The Rector, Rev. Fr. Dominic Martis, warmly welcomed the provincial. The Rector addressed the staff and explained that the Canonical Provincial Visit is conducted annually to review the functioning of the institution and to strengthen its mission in collaboration with various stakeholders of the institution and the Church.

In his address, Rev. Fr. Ashley Miranda expressed his appreciation for the dedication and hard work of the staff. He appreciated the excellence displayed during the school’s Annual Day celebration. He emphasized that the success of any institution is the result of collective effort and highlighted the important role teachers play in guiding the young. Speaking about the Salesian System of Education, founded by St. John Bosco, he explained its foundation on the pillars of reason, religion, and loving-kindness, and stressed the importance of creating a family spirit within the institution.

Fr. Provincial encouraged teachers to educate with love, remain lifelong learners, and inspire students to believe that God has a plan for them. He concluded the meeting informing teachers that he would be available if anyone wished to meet him personally.
