The 77th Republic Day celebration at Don Bosco High School and Jr. College Naigaon, was a solemn and inspiring occasion, marked by a deep sense of patriotism and pride. The management, staff, and students gathered together for the ceremonial assembly, where the National Flag was respectfully unfurled, symbolising the sovereignty and democratic spirit of our nation. The atmosphere resonated with unity and national fervour as the tricolour fluttered high against the morning sky.
The programme featured meaningful speeches, patriotic songs, and vibrant cultural performances that filled the campus with nostalgia and reverence for the motherland. Students expressed their love for the nation through soulful renditions and energetic dances, reminding everyone of the sacrifices made by countless freedom fighters to secure our independence and democracy.
The Principal addressed the gathering, shedding light on the significance of Republic Day and the importance of honouring and upholding the Constitution, a visionary document crafted by the great minds of the past to ensure liberty, justice, and fraternity for every citizen. He also explained the symbolic difference between the flag being hoisted on Independence Day by the Prime Minister and unfurled on Republic Day by the President of India, helping students understand the historical and constitutional relevance of the day.
The celebration served as a powerful reminder of our duties as responsible citizens and the need to preserve the values enshrined in our Constitution. The event concluded with the National Anthem, leaving everyone with renewed respect for the nation and a collective resolve to contribute positively towards its progress and unity.
